My Story

I have always been interested in how our minds work. How thoughts and feelings affect our day to day lives and the stories that we tell ourselves, or the outcomes that we expect, often seem to come to pass.

It was this interest in people’s stories that led me to train as an actor. I worked for many years in film, TV and theatre. This means that I understand the pressures of being a free-lance creative. I know first-hand about the uncertainties and the strains it can put on important relationships; be it partners, colleagues, friends or family.

I began to realise that this lifestyle was no longer making me happy. Over time I realised that something had to change in order to feel whole. It wasn’t an easy path to take or an easy choice to make.

Having therapy helped me grow into my true self. Gradually, I gained a better understanding of how past experiences were still affecting my present. From therapy I was able to work through these. Eventually, I was able to take back control of my life and begin to reach for new horizons.

I hope to support others in discovering more grounded ways of dealing with their own situations and emotions; empowering them to be happier in themselves.
