Empathy
I offer a safe, supportive and confidential space to bring any concerns that you wish. As we have all felt lost, alone or unheard at some point in our lives, I think that everyone can benefit from therapy.
In the therapy room I hold the space for you to share your story and to share what the world looks like for you. I want to get to know who you truely are. It’s a confidential, non-judgemental space for you to explore the things that you want.
Integrative approach
I believe that no two clients are the same and so I take an integrative approach. This means that I have a range of different tools, which can be combined and used depending on what is best for each client. I may use warm person centred techniques to allow you to share your thoughts and feelings, and so relax into yourself. On other occasions, I might take a more psychodynamic approach helping you become aware of how past situations or events may still be influencing your behaviours today, giving you new options for tomorrow.
Your future
Finding a therapist can be daunting. Therapy is not always an easy, “quick fix.” It tends to be a longer, deeper, more sustainable, gradual change. There is a commitment of time and money. Sometimes things can seem to get worse before they get better.
However, I believe that with the right therapist the benefits can be more rewarding then seemed possible at the start.
